Enrollment Policies and Procedures

All children who live in the United School District of Santa Clara can entoll the Millikin Basics+ Program if they've already got Grade 5 in their kindergartens. The procedures of enrollment are the following ones:


2014-2015 Enrollment Procedure

The online information about the SCUSD Open Enrollment program will be carried from January to February. You can always check the SCUSD website for all specific deadlines.

If you want your child to attend a school other than your neighborhood school, your actions should be the following:

1. Provide the next documents to your neighborhood school:

a) birth certificate
b) immunization record and
c) residency proof** (see the table below)

2. Get a Permanent ID Number from your neighborhood school.

3. Complete the Open Enrollment application here - www.santaclarausd.org - by the date of February 11, 2015. Allow 2-4 days for handling.


2015 Visitation Days for Parents
You are welcome to visit our classrooms to see how lessons in Millikin take place on January 18-20 from 9am to 10am. Such visits will be followed by orientations from 10am to 11am. Please, note that our classroom will not be opened for observations if substitutes teach that day.

Millikin Specific Dates (for Adults Only)

January 18-20, 2015

Parent Visitation : 9:00 - 10:00 am

Parent Orientation : 10:00 -11:00 am

We invite all interested parents and other adults to use this opportunity and visit our school to see and make sure that Millikan will be a good fit for their kids. We ask you not to bring infant or pre-school children to these orientations or visitations.

Parent Orientation
If you are a new family that applies to the Millikan Basics+ Program, we are happy to invite you to parent orientation which takes place after visitations on January 18-20 at 10am in our cafeteria.

It will help you understand our philosophy, mission and academic program better. Please, do not take infant or pre-school kids to the orientation with you.
